I hate the "Jejenese" and the "Jejebet", not the "Jejemons"

“Jejemon” is a name called to some Filipino people, usually teenagers, that send SMS or chat using words with excessive capitalization, improper insertion of the letters H, Z, C, X, J, etc, and the substitution of letters with numbers or sometimes even other letters instead. They are people who subverts English words to the point of incomprehensibility. The word “Jejemon” comes from the words “Jeje”, which is “hehe” in Jejenese (the language of the Jejemon), and Pokemon, the popular television show by Satoshi Tajiri (Jeje + pokeMON = Jejemon). Jejemons are not only seen in chat rooms and through SMS, but also in social networking sites as well. The “Jejemon” wester counterpart is the “Leet Speak” and their rivals are the “Jejebusters”.

People usually type this way for them to be unique and stand out. Other people, however, use this style to compensate for their bad English writing skills. Jejemons usually are composed of people that are considered “tambays”, which are uneducated people. Although the language is mostly used by the male population, it is slowly becoming popular to the girls too.

Comprehending a Jejemons message can be really frustrating. The word “iMiszqcKyuH” can really take some time to decode (the word means “I miss you”) and once decoded it will bring frustration and anger to the one who decoded it. The frustration is because people feel that Jejemons make something as simple as “hello” to a complicated “EoWpFhUeEhsxz”.

However, rather that attacking the Jejemons, what we can do is help them. Poverty in the Philippines is at an all-time-high, and because many people have no money, many children are not being sent to schools, thus not teaching them in the correct ways of the English language.

How come people attack people using Jejenese but not people using Leet speak? Is it beacause Leet speak comes from the word “elite” while Jejemons comes from wrongly spelled hehe's? As the way I see it, they have few differences at all, their biggest difference is that Leet speak is imported while Jejemon is local.

I really hate it when I receive messages from Jejemons that I cannot comprehend, I really do! But I do not hate the Jejemons themselves. It is not their fault that they are not well-versed in the English language, but the fault of poverty. Instead of attacking and shunning them, why not do ways to understand (not their messages, but their personality as a whole) and help them instead?

What is the difference of being a freelancer from the "traditional" contract working?

The difference of those two is that on freelancing you can work on the comfort of your own home with flexible time schedule while on a contract job you usually work on a fixed schedule while being confined to an office.

Freelancing is working for individual(s) without being committed to the employer on a long term basis. They are different from contract jobs because at freelancing, geographical barriers are not a problem. Your working schedule is really up to you; you can work part time or full time. Freelancing is really a great alternative if an office job is not an option for you, whatever reasons you may have. Best of all, you get to work with different kinds of individuals from all over the world.

However, freelancing is without its difficulties. Unlike a conventional job, payments are sometimes not guaranteed at freelance jobs. Also, while you are just starting to be a freelancer, the earnings are too small compared to a regular job. Lastly, impressing an employer online is more difficult than impressing him/her personally; this affects your chances to nail a job being a freelancer.

I hope that this info helps. For more info, visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Freelancer. Also visit http://www.odesk.com to know more about freelancing and start being a freelancer yourself.

Seeking help via the Cyberspace.

When we need help, we usually seek the aid of another person, like our family, especially in the previous years. This might be helpful because the helper is physically present and can even help with what we are doing. Even if he or she is helping you via the phone, you can ask questions to them real-time.

But what if our helper has limited knowledge of the subject of our problem? Will you seek the aid of others? That is usually fine, but it can be a lot of trouble and time-consuming. Luckily in today’s modern world there is an alternative in seeking help. This kind of help can be found on the World Wide Web and they are called online help.

There are many kinds of online help sites. Examples of these are FAQS, forums and how-to websites. In this article we shall only focus on how-to sites.

How-to sites are where you will find many problems and the instructions for the solutions are organized on a step-by-step format. Examples of these sites are wikiHow and eHow. There are many topics on these sites like “how do I delete songs from my iPod”, “how do I fix my mobile phone keypad” or “how do I fix my sticky keyboard”. Other than just technical problems, there are also solutions to problems in love life, family, health, and a variety of other topics. Best of all you can put a comment on these sites to tell others if that instruction is really helpful or not. Best of all, if you are not satisfied with the one that you saw or if that solution did not work for you, you can always look at other tips that tackle the same problems but have different approaches. There are many individuals posting their instructions that are sometime not too helpful or has incomplete instructions. You should be patient when looking for help online. This applies to other types of online help too.

Even though online help can really aid an individual a lot, personal help is always the best help that you can seek. How-to sites are just an alternative if there are no other persons capable of helping you regarding a topic. But if you have friends that are knowledgeable on the topic of your problem, then by all means seek their help instead. Personal help is always much, much better that the kind of assistance online help has to offer.

Internet Surfing - A Source of Many Things

People nowadays surf the net for many things. Most people go to the Cyberspace for Social networking. Students often do their research on the web instead on the library and some people look for “how-to” sites for things they do. Other still, go to the net for gaming and pleasure. Actually, it does not matter where we go on the net for we all do the same thing, and that is explore the World Wide Web.

For those few people who are oblivious about the Cyberspace, the internet is a computer network consisting of a worldwide network of computer networks that use the TCP/IP (Transmission Control Protocol and the Internet Protocol) network protocols to facilitate data transmission and exchange. You will find many different sites ranging from search engines like Google, social networking sites like Facebook, online encyclopedias like Wikipedia, and many more. You can do many things there (or here, if you are reading this online) like chatting, listening to music, watching videos, research and many more. You can even work online as a freelancer. Actually, the possibilities are virtually endless.

For net surfers out there, search engines are probably your best friend online. Search engines are your gateway to other websites. Most people even set their homepages to search engines. They are very handy for when you need something, you can search for it at search engines. For examples, if you are searching for consumer advice trading standards, you can Google it and it will give you sites that are related to the topic you are searching for. And even if you don't need something you can use search engines. As for me, I use them for entertainment and random reading. Sometimes I search for random topics like “benefits for not working vs working”, “how to make your own three section staff”, “getting your ex back”, and so many more. My favorite thing to search for are comparison of products, services, websites, etc. Search engines are the backbone of the internet. I doubt if there are net surfers that are not familiar with these kind of services.

But even though the internet offers many interesting and good thing, be careful always for not all people on the web have noble intentions. There are programs and services to help against those threats, but the security of the net surfers lies ultimately on their own shoulders.

The internet is really a large place that is continuously growing larger and larger. The internet can be compared to the universe for it is virtually endless. And with such number of websites, it is up to you if you deem a site worthy for your net surfing pleasures or not.

Internet Security, a Necessity in Today’s Cyber Life

In these days, crime almost happen everyday and everywhere. It is dangerous to wander to some places without being extra careful or some security. The same goes with visiting the World Wide Web. In the streets, there are kidnappers, killers, snatchers, etc. In the internet, the causes of dangers are malware, viruses, etc. These things are dangerous to the life of your personal computer.

There are different kinds of malicious programs found on the net. They are malware, viruses, trojans, spywares, worms, and bots. Some programs that are apparently useful contain features with malicious intent. Malware is the common used name for any malicious program purposed to penetrate, spy on or harm a computer or other programmable device or system of sufficient difficulty, such as a personal computer, network, cell phone, PDA, robots or automated devices. Viruses are applications which are able to duplicate their structure or effect by integrating themselves or references to themselves into existing files or structures on a penetrated machine. They usually also have a nasty or humorous payload which are designed to modify or threaten the procedures or data of the host device or system without permission. Examples of these are deleting, corrupting or hiding information from the computers owner. Trojan Horses or simply trojans are programs which pretend to do one thing, but they are really stealing or altering information or causing problems on a computer or programs. Programs that are surreptitiously monitor keystrokes or other action on a computer system and report that information to others without consent are called spywares. Worms are programs that can replicate themselves over a computer network and also perform malicious acts that may ultimately affect a whole economy or society. And lastly, there are bots that take over and use the resources of a computer system over a network without permission, and communicate those results to the person controlling the bots. The previously mentioned concepts overlap and can obviously be combined. The terminology, as well as the dangers concerned, is constantly evolving.

With such dangers on the online community, internet security programs are a necessity. Antivirus and anti-spyware programs help battle these threats.

Antivirus programs are used to detect and eliminate viruses. They can be downloaded or purchased on the internet. Some programs are not as efficient as other in finding and eliminating viruses and malware, so take extra care. And also be careful, because some sites promote programs that say that they are providing protection from viruses, but in reality, are trying to install malware by disguising it as something else.

Anti-spyware programs, on the other hand, help detect and eliminate security threats found on the web, such as spyware and adware. As antivirus programs help detect the big threats, they can sometimes ignore the small but annoying threats. This is where anti-spywares comes into action. While online, they prevent tracking cookies, spywares, and adwares to be installed in your machine.

Antivirus and anti-spyware programs can be used simultaneously to a greater effect. They do not cause any problems when used at the same time.

Additionally, there are also firewalls that help with internet security. They have two basic functions. First, they help protect your system from unsolicited scans that are found online. Secondly, they usually present outbound control. An inbound scan may be looking for a trojan on your computer while outbound controls watch for a trojan or spyware attempting to call out from your system.

Even with these protections, care should be practiced when surfing the net. As internet security programs are constantly evolving, so are the threats and malicious programs.

The Advantages and Disadvantages of an Online Business.

Electronic commerce or e-commerce has completely revolutionized the standard concept of doing business by enabling a presence in |the worldwide market. Listed here are examples of the important advantages and disadvantages of electronic commerce.

Electronic commerce or in brief e-commerce, refers to business activities like selling and buying of services and products administered over electronic systems such as Internet and computer networks. Advantages

The best and an important advantage of e-commerce, is that it enables a company concern or individual to achieve |the worldwide market. It caters to the demands of both the national as well as the international market, as businesses activities are no longer restricted by geographical boundaries. Aided by the help of electronic commerce, even small enterprises can access the worldwide marketplace for selling and buying products and services. Even time restrictions are nonexistent while conducting businesses, as e-commerce empowers one to execute business transactions 24 hours a day and also on holidays and weekends. This in return significantly increases sales and profit.

Electronic commerce gives the purchasers the chance to check out cheaper and quality products. Using the help of e-commerce, consumers can easily research on a unique product and sometimes even discover the first manufacturer to buy an item at a less expensive price than that charged by the wholesaler. Shopping online is generally more convenient and time saving than conventional shopping. Besides these, people also bump into reviews posted by other customers, regarding the products purchased from a particular e-commerce site, that may help make purchasing decisions.

For business concerns, e-commerce significantly cuts down the associated fee tied to marketing, customer care, processing, and information storage and inventory management. Electronic commerce reduces the burden of infrastructure to conduct businesses and thereby raises the total amount of funds for} profitable investment. It also enables efficient customer care services. Alternatively, It collects and manages information associated with customer behavior, which in return helps develop and adopt an efficient marketing and promotional strategy.

Disadvantages

Electronic commerce can also be characterized by some technological and inherent limitations which have restricted the quantity of people using this revolutionary system. One important disadvantage of e-commerce is how the Internet has still not touched the lives of a great quantity of people, either as a result of ignorance or trust. Numerous people usually do not use the Internet for any kind of monetary transaction. Many people simply refuse to trust the authenticity of completely impersonal business transactions, as in the case of e-commerce. Many individuals have reservations regarding the necessity to disclose personal and personal information for security concerns. Often, the legitimacy and authenticity of various e-commerce sites have also been questioned.

Another limitation of e-commerce is that it isn't suitable for perishable commodities like food items. People opt to shop in |the traditional way than to try e-commerce for purchasing food products. So e-commerce is absolutely not suitable for such business sectors. The time period required for delivering physical products can be quite significant in case of e-commerce. Many phone calls and e-mails could be required till you obtain your desired products. However, returning the merchandise and obtaining a refund {could be more troublesome and time consuming than purchasing, in case if you aren't satisfied with a specific product.
